Bing Crosby (Harry Lillis Crosby)
(1904-1977) American singer and actor. His relaxed, jazz-influenced style
of singing or 'crooning' made him one of the most popular and imitated
singers of the century. His recording of Irving Berlin's White Christmas (1942)
is often said to be the best-selling record of all time. Crosby had over
80 hits. He also starred in many films with Bob Hope. |
