Walter Elias Disney (1901-1966) American
cartoonist and film producer. His cartoon films of the 1930's and 1940's,
e.g. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1938) and Bambi (1942), acheived
high critical and popular acclaim. Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck are two of
his famous cartoon creations. He built Disneyland in California (1955),
and planned Disney World in Florida that opened five years after his death
(1971). |
